Spanning streets, trafficways or valleys, etc. , bridges perform a basic but essential function: gettting from one side to the other.
But what if on that purpose a bridge could be more than a pathway? what value could it bring to a city? what impact could be tangible to the society? A group of bussiness owners is willing to re-evaluate, rethink, to be bold and iconic and less-formally how a bridge can be coherent to its context.
Bridging Tunjungan st. and Basuki Rachmat st. two of the busiest street in the city, a cross-pathway is longing to be more than just serving as a downtown passing. It shall accommodate the society demographical needs, cultural needs, recreational needs and as well portray an identity of the city itself as an icon to be proud of.
